Michigan dropping dirty with medical marijuana card?

Iam on probation for possession of marijuana (just a joint). i used to smoke frequently for pain relief in my knees. they are very stiff and hurt when iam doing any strenuous activity's and its affecting my work. i recently got a medical marijuana card for the pain. i dont want to use pain killers because of the negative effects on your body and the addictiveness. my question is can i be violated for use of marijuana while on probation for marijuana even if i have a card? from what Ive heard people in California have been to the supreme court over this same issue and won, but dont know if its just rumors.
