Can anyone site me an example of kindness by a Japanese military person during World War Two?

I always heard of BUSHIDO and SAMURAI codes leading to atrocities, but, not everyone in all cultures can be always all bad, right? I know there were kind Germans during World War II here and there in spite of the Nazi atrocities. Well, any examples?
