Early scan?

hi there after a mmc in march have wonderfully found myself now 6w 5d pg which is gr8 thing is dr promised a scan at 8 weeks to put my mind at rest but said m/w would contact me with a date this was at 4w 3d still no news considering contacting hospital to see if possible to pay for early scan as waiting is so nerve racking has any1 done this and roughly how much did it cost as no prices listed locally i live in uk
